Artists and aspiring artists are invited to the foreshore on Saturday to learn about landscape painting

People of all ages and abilities are being invited to take park in Drawing on Country at the Whyalla foreshore on Saturday April 7.

Drawing on Country invites artists to interpret their local landscape with artist Merritt Watson. Bring your pencils, paint, camera or tablet and delve into the artist's connection to place. Art materials will also be available for trial on the day.

This is a community art event which invites people of all ages and abilities to draw outdoors.

Participants on the day can take their works home and then submit their finished artwork at the end of April which will then form an exhibition at a local venue during the South Australia Living Artists Festival (SALA) in August this year.

The Whyalla Drawing on Country will run from 10am to 4pm on April 7 at the foreshore with lunch provided. The event is being run in co-operation by Country Arts SA and the City of Whyalla.
