The City of Whyalla would like to advise that both ovals at Jubilee Park will be closed next Monday for weed spraying.
Council crews will be spraying to eliminate lawn clover and burrs on the big and small ovals.
Subject to favourable conditions, the ovals will be closed from 6am on Monday, July 2 and will re-open on Tuesday, July 3 at 6am. Council workers can’t spray if it is too windy or wet.
Council will have signs up and will be advising the public not to use the ovals while spraying is taking place. The ovals will be perfectly safe for public use on Tuesday morning after the spraying.
Council thanks the public in advance for their understanding.
Jubilee Park is the last location to be sprayed for lawn clover in what has been an intensive two-week program to help keep weeds in check in our city.
