Whyalla Visitor Guide gets a Facelift

The City of Whyalla is excited to announce a brand new look visitor guide for the City with the new Unearth Whyalla brand being used extensively in the new design.

The recently revamped corporate branding and world class website will now be complemented with the guide to showcase Whyalla’s unique attractions to the world. The guide will be further boosted with an increased print run to last two years, and a distribution and marketing plan to promote the guide far and wide.

This year's guide will be produced by Woof Media, who have been producing the Whyalla Guide for some ten years now. Naomi Blacker, Director said, "Print and digital regional visitor guides are an essential marketing and holiday planning tool for visitors. The Whyalla guide is no exception with a planned print run of 35,000 and a digital flipbook. We find this combination of print plus digital is appreciated by our regional travellers who love the option of both."

Mayor Lyn Breuer said, "The visitor economy is an important part of Whyalla's industry mix and a well-designed and supported visitor guide gives travellers more reasons to stay in the City and spend a bit more. If you are a tourism operator, in retail and hospitality or the service industry, chances are you benefit from tourism. We encourage all those businesses to get onboard and support the guide."

Council is planning to promote the guide extensively via its website, social media and strategically placed billboards. The guide will be available online, and print guides will be distributed to visitor hot spots including the Whyalla Airport and visitor centres at nearby towns.
