- Childrens Programs

There were sea creatures to be made and plenty of giggles to be had for pre-schoolers at the Whyalla Public Library.
The story time session children had a story called Creatures by the Sea before making their own sea craft.
The kids all made a dolphin jumping out of the water and then sang some fish songs.
The little ones at the Gigglepot sessions enjoyed stories and all sorts of activities.

Pre-School Story Time is a program for 2-5-year-olds to share stories, songs and craft activities. Parents are caregivers are welcome to assist as their child develops a love of books and participates in fun activities in the supportive environment of the library.
Each week there is a different theme for the story and the activity and sometimes there’s even a special visitor.
There is also a toy library at the far end of the children’s library for those that want to stay on a bit longer. There is a wide range of toys, games, musical instruments and kits catering for the early learning, recreational and development needs of pre-school children.
You can also borrow two items for two weeks.
The sessions last about 45 minutes and they are held during the school terms on Wednesday and Thursday 10.30am and also 2pm on Thursday.
