Opportunity for local performers to showcase their talent at uneARTh festival
Whyalla City Council is seeking expressions of interest from talented local performers interested in participating in the city’s exciting new uneARTh festival.
uneARTh will be a two day event running over the Easter Long Weekend, combining three major events into two days of fun and festivities.
The council is working closely with the Adelaide Fringe Festival to bring an exciting lineup of renowned performers to Whyalla for this exciting event, and is now seeking applications from local performers possessing talent in the form of singers, musicians, dancers, entertainers, or anything else that can draw a crowd.
Local performers will be required to perform on Saturday, April 15.
Whyalla mayor Lyn Breuer said the addition of local performers would greatly compliment the lineup of renowned singers, actors, dancers, and acrobats being provided by the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
“Whyalla has always been a place that fosters talented performers, with many singers, musicians, actors, dancers, and artists finding their claim to fame hailing from Whyalla,” Ms Breuer said.
“uneARTh will be a large scale event, and the council is incredibly excited to be able to provide an opportunity for up and coming performers to showcase their talents.
“We are looking for an array of performers, so if you have a talent that can entertain a crowd, we’d like to hear from you.”
Performers wishing to register their interest should complete an application form, which is available on the council’s website at www.whyalla.sa.gov.au/uneARThfestival
Applications close at 5pm on Friday, February 3, 2017 and can be emailed to: Rebecca.neilson@whyalla.sa.gov.au or hand delivered to the council’s civic building on Darling Terrace.
Event organisers will undertake a review process of all applications to determine the suitability of each applicant.
