The 2018 Kerbside Collection Calendar, pictured, will start appearing in Whyalla residents’ letterboxes from next week.
But don’t throw out your 2017 guide!
The 2017 guide still has all the information you’ll ever need for your rubbish collection and the new 2018 calendar has been designed to fit nicely into it.
For those that don’t have their old guide anymore, it is still on our website, as is the new calendar, at http://www.whyalla.sa.gov.au/page.aspx?u=842
If you don’t happen to get the new calendar in the next few weeks, they are also available from the front counter at the City of Whyalla offices in Civic Building on Darling Terrace.
And don’t forget the change in rubbish collection for two regions because of Christmas Day.
Because Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on Monday this year (or 2018 in the case of New Year's Day), those in areas A and F will need to put their bins out a couple of days earlier. See the details below and the map showing the zones.
Area A
Saturday, December 23 - General waste (red bin) and recycling (yellow bin)
Saturday, December 30 - General waste (red bin) and green waste (green bin)
Area F
Saturday, December 23 - General waste (red bin) and green waste (green bin)
Saturday, December 30 - General waste (red bin) and recycling waste (yellow bin)
