Jetty closed for scheduled inspection
Whyalla’s fishing jetty will be closed to the public for two days to allow for a scheduled inspection of the facility to be undertaken.
The jetty will be closed from 9am until 5.30pm on Tuesday, February 14 and Wednesday, February 15 to allow safe access for consulting engineers to carry out an inspection in the most efficient manner possible, while also minimising any inconvenience to the fishing public.
The inspection of the jetty is part of a scheduled asset maintenance program of the facility, and will assist in the development of documentation when seeking grant funding from Rec Fishing to help fund future works.
The council thanks residents for their patience and understanding while these crucial works are being carried out.
