Christmas came early this year for Whyalla when the Gupta Family Group Alliance (GFG) completed its purchase of the city’s steelworks and associated mining operations.
To keep the celebrations going into the festive season, GFG Alliance immediately started working with the Whyalla Apex Club and the City of Whyalla to make this year’s GFG Alliance Whyalla Christmas Pageant the biggest ever.
Now company owner Sanjeev Gupta has confirmed he will be bringing his family to Whyalla for the big event on Saturday and they will be participating in the pageant.
“My family and I are rather excited about participating in the upcoming Whyalla Christmas Pageant,” Mr Gupta said.
“The kids will be dressing up in different outfits and can’t stop talking about it.”
Mr Gupta will also speak at the GFG Alliance After Pageant Party before enjoying the evening with his family and new-found friends in Whyalla.
“I understand the event will be bigger than ever which is great news,” Mr Gupta said.
“It will be very encouraging to see the community come together and celebrate their hard work and the exciting future we have ahead of us.”
The GFG Alliance Whyalla Christmas Pageant starts at 4pm on Saturday, November 25 from Forsyth Street. It finishes at Ada Ryan Gardens where the After Pageant Fair will kick off with a host of entertainment, activities and a fireworks display at 9.30pm. Below is the route for the pageant.
