Whyalla residents, organisations and businesses are being encouraged to fill out a survey on Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula tourism

The eyes are on Eyre and you’ve got the chance to tell the world what is great about our region.

Regional Development Australia Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula (RDAWEP) is identifying all the great spots around Whyalla and the Eyre Peninsula and wants your help finding them and working out how best to manage them.

lowlyRDAWEP, along with Wayfound Consultants, is taking stock of significant regional coastal access points, camping spots and wayfinding (signage) assets during December and January.

They want everyone to cast their eyes over our immense region and learn where we stand.

Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula residents, businesses and visitors are invited to share their views to add to the direction setting of future investment in our region through a survey.

Some of the questions include:

Should our roadside visitor information hubs have wifi? What are your favourite spots in Whyalla and the Eyre Peninsula? What reacreational aspects are important to you when seeking out a coastal location in Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula? Are we affording the right protection to plants and wildlife? Which is your favourite campground or caravan park and why?

There’s even the opportunity to send in pictures of your favourite spots and having a say on what you’d like to see improved to facilities like camping grounds.

You can share your views online by visiting http://www.rdawep.org.au/ or go straight to the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BJ76P6G

Or you can visit our Whyalla Information Visitor Centre to obtain a hardcopy which you can post to: Eyes on Eyre Project Regional Development Australia Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula 89 Liverpool Street, Port Lincoln SA 5606

This is a collaborative project between Regional Development Australia Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula, Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association, Natural Resources Eyre Peninsula and Natural Resources Alinytjara Wilurara.

Please share your thoughts by January 31, 2018.
