Support continues for 25th Australian Snapper Championship

Support for the upcoming 25th Australian Snapper Championship is continuing to grow, with more sponsors coming on board to back the event.

The additional support provided by these new sponsors allows the event to operate new activities, providing extra fun and games for families over the Easter long weekend.

The friendly team at Beyond Bank Whyalla branch has donated a large tent to be used at the event for various kids’ activities.

It will also be a base for the Whyalla Triathlon on the Sunday morning.

Santos has generously offered to support a range of children’s activities to be run at the Family Festival, including an exciting sea-life themed fancy dress competition.

The Whyalla Telstra Store will be generously donating a range of prizes for various activities throughout the festival.

Organisers are also excited to announce that a large Telstra NBN truck will be travelling to Whyalla for the festival to answer the community’s questions about the incoming NBN.

Event coordinator Suzy Kettle said without the support of sponsors the event would not be possible.

“The generosity of local businesses in Whyalla has been overwhelming, and I am so pleased that we are able to offer some new and exciting prizes and activities as a result of that generosity,” Miss Kettle said.

“These new sponsors join a fantastic group of businesses that have already been very active in supporting the event and the wider community.

“I’d like to sincerely thank all of our 2016 sponsors, without their generosity this event would not be possible.”

This year’s sponsors include major partners Spot On Sportfishing Whyalla in partnership with Shimano, Qantaslink, Southern Cross Austereo, 5AU and Magic FM, Whyalla Mount Laura Lions Club, Regional Express Airlines, Santos, Whyalla Caravan Park, WDD Office Choice, Discovery Holiday Park Whyalla Foreshore, Whyalla News, Scholz Transport Services, Cleanaway, Coates Hire, Fishing World, Westland Shopping Centre, The Hon. Eddies Hughes MP, Harry’s Camping, Telstra Store Whyalla, McDonalds Whyalla, Signarama, OZ Minerals, Des’s Taxis, Fishing SA, and Beyond Bank Whyalla.

Event organisers welcome the support of local businesses who would like to take the opportunity to support the event, while also putting their branding in the competitors’ handouts.
