South Aussie with Cosi to film 25th Snapper Championship and Family Festival
An exciting visitor will be making his way to Whyalla to attend the 25th anniversary Australian Snapper Championship and Family Festival.
Popular television show South Aussie with Cosi will be filming the special anniversary event, which runs over the Easter long weekend on March 25, 26, and 27.
The segment will be filmed on the Sunday of the competition, with the man himself, Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello, making a special appearance.
The footage will air later in the year on Cosi’s television show, with a broadcast date still to be determined.
Event coordinator Suzy Kettle said she was excited that Cosi would be making the trip to Whyalla for the special anniversary event.
“We are very pleased to confirm that Cosi from South Aussie with Cosi will be attending our 25th anniversary event, and even more pleased that Whyalla will be highlighted as a tourism destination on his television show,” Miss Kettle said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to promote all the great things that Whyalla has to offer, with the show also filming the city’s many key tourist attractions.
“We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to QantasLink for sponsoring this special celebrity guest.”
Cosi will also be hosting the championship award ceremony at the close of the snapper championship on Sunday, March 27, so don’t miss your chance to see him in action in the HQ marquee by the Whyalla Marina.
