Business Growth Program Partnership

Whyalla Business and Tourism President Malcolm McLeod  left, City of Whyalla Mayor Clare McLaughlin, and Business SA CEO Martin Haese, are keen to strengthen local business through the Business Growth Program.

Business Growth Program Partnership

Whyalla City Council has embarked on a joint venture with Business SA and Whyalla Business and Tourism to assist local businesses to thrive and grow in 2021 and beyond.

Business and industry are the backbone of Whyalla. Although the majority of local businesses have managed to navigate through the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognise that continual work needs to be done to galvanise the economic prosperity of our city.

This new tri-partnership, funded by Whyalla City Council, is designed to help many of the small businesses in Whyalla to not only remain viable, but expand, generate additional income, employ more local people and help Whyalla’s economy thrive.

The 12-month Business Growth Program will enable 150 businesses within the Whyalla City Council area (with an ABN) to have access to the full array of services provided by Business SA and Whyalla Business and Tourism, including the Business Advice Hotline, Business Accelerator Program, grants and tenders support, networking events and more.
