An opportunity has presented to deliver approximately 50% of this years’ road works commencing on 10th August for two to three weeks. This is based on all pre-work for these roads being complete.
Boral will be advising residents via letterbox notification during this week.
These roads are:
Road Name | From | To |
Barson St | Kittel St | Wood Tc |
Broadbent Tc | Playford Av | Hockey St |
McBryde Tc | Playford Av | Bean St |
McBryde Tc | Change of Seal | Smith St |
Nicolson Av | Norrie Av | St John Cr |
Peters St | Duncan St | Elliott St |
Randell St | Roberts Tc | Cudmore Tc |
Various traffic restrictions will be in place with motorists and pedestrians asked to take care and obey all signs and instructions.
The balance of the road sealing program is currently envisaged to be undertaken in November 2020 dependent on the availability of Boral at that time, and based on satisfactory completion of all pre-works.
The pre-works scheduled to be completed before any road seal is placed include:
- Kerbing replacement or repairs for those nominated roads
- Any underground services installations required (ie water, gas mains, sewer and stormwater works)
- Tree pruning and tree maintenance ahead of road sealing
- Any footpath remediation works deemed necessary including pram ramp upgrades to comply with current standards and public safety (ie tactile ramp installations)
The community should note that the following list of roads scheduled for later this year will include all the above pre-work activities:
Road Name | From | To |
Broadbent Tc | Barson St | Darling Tc |
Darling Tc | Cudmore Tc | Balnaves Ln |
Essington Lewis Av | McBryde Tc | Elliott St |
Hincks Av | Jenkins Av | Lewthwaite St |
Norrie Av | Nicolson Av | Morris Cr |
Sharp St | Forsyth St | McBryde Tc |
Wallack Tc | Cudmore Tc | Walls St |
Walls St | Darling Tc | Jamieson St |
Note that there will be additional preparation works undertaken for the second part of this years’ program particularly on Essington Lewis Avenue from Elliot Street to McBryde Tce, where storm water infrastructure and on street parking issues are to be reviewed ahead of a sealing program.
