Loud, live & local – tune in to Triple Y

Did you know that Whyalla Council are proud supporters of Triple Y, our local community radio station?

Every fortnight you can tune into 107.7FM and listen to the Council Show, where Triple Y hosts Sean Deakin & Kiara Brown chat with staff about projects and topical issues.

Tomorrow afternoon at 2pm we’ll have Sam Bourne, Project Manager Landscape and Tim Bayly, Project Engineer live on air talking about some of the exciting projects that our Infrastructure department are currently managing.

These include:

  • Council recently won a $20k grant to paint the much-loved Point Lowly lighthouse,
  • The Northern Coastline track closure project,
  • Newly installed Bennett Oval cricket nets,
  • Beach replenishment program, and
  • Stormwater management.

The Council Show is on every second Tuesday at 2pm, the topics are always varied and interesting, the interviewees are from every department of Council and it’s a great way to keep up with what’s happening in our city!

Here are the dates of our upcoming shows:

22 June, 6 July, 20 July, 3 August, 17 August, 31 August, 14 September, 28 September, 12 October, 26 October, 9 November, 23 November, 7 December, 21 December.

Remember to like Whyalla City Council’s facebook page and keep an eye out for our Triple Y Council show reminders.
