Children's Library Programs

Mondays

Gigglepots is our baby bounce and rhyme program for 0-2 year olds and there parent/caregiver. This program is held every Monday at 10am (except on a public holiday).

Tuesdays

We have some timeslots available for school/kindy/childcare class visits.  These need to be booked in advance each school term, please contact the library on 8645 7891 to be included in the schedule.

Wednesdays

Little Learners – regular math and science programs – these are run in blocks of time and not concurrently. Participants are asked to commit to attending all four weeks of the program to gain the most from this experience.  These programs are for aimed at 3-5 year olds and their caregiver and run between 11am–12noon. Please contact the library on 8645 7891 or check out our facebook and instagram posts to fall see which program is currently running and to book you and your child in.

Library Learning Club with the Smith Family - 3.30 – 4.30 for primary school kids (5 -12 years) and their carers.  This is a new program, and we do different activities each week including, Wellbeing, Arts and Crafts, STEM, Literacy/Numeracy and guests.

Stem Club 4pm – 12 years + using a variety of different technology, programming robots / tinkering with tinkercad which creating a 3d object that we can 3d print, showing what's involved with 3d printing, playing games, showing what is involved with making a game through scratch and the programming side of it as well.  As well as robot play, including robots which can be controlled using phones.

Thursdays

Story Time 2 – 5 years with caregivers.  Songs and storytelling and an activity. Sometimes an “active activity” such as outside play, or parachute, or a craft activity to create in the library or take home.

Lego Club 4pm – 5pm 5 – 12 year olds and caregivers., a great way to build social skills and increase STEM knowledge while having fun.  There is a different topic or challenge each week
