Support for Whyalla Recording Scholarships

Following a successful "WRS Launch Party", Whyalla's music development program has received a generous donation from the Rotary Club Of Whyalla - ensuring its continued inspiration and support of young original music into the future.

Mayor Clare McLaughlin was one of those wowed by an array of Whyalla talent at the St James Hall over Easter as the winners of last years Whyalla Recording Scholarship launched their debut singles.

Easter Monday saw 2018 Whyalla Recording Scholarship winners Liberty Tuohy, Shakira Lea Fauser and Jaylee Daniels launch their debut singles in a stunning concert setting in the Saint James Hall.

With special guests Josh Paton, JJ Payne and 2017 WRS winner BREEZE Millard also performing on the night, the trio sang their newly-released songs in front of a crowd of family and friends and were presented with a framed commemorative copy of their CD by Mayor McLaughlin.

Jaylee and Shakira also showcased their singles at the Rotary Club Of Whyalla Changeover Dinner on Saturday June 15, impressing the audience with their award-winning talent. Other distinguished guests on the night included Member for Giles Eddie 
Hughes and Rotary's District Governor David Egan.

Rotary's incoming president Keith Sichler made a generous donation of $1000 on behalf of the club to the Whyalla Recording Scholarship on the night, ensuring its continued inspiration and support of young original musical talent into the future.

The Whyalla Recording Scholarship is a 100% philanthropic initiative, produced in Whyalla by Stormfront Productions.
