Eggsellent ways to recycle this Easter

Did you know that you can recycle your Easter Egg foil?

Alfoil is a very valuable resource which can be recycled but not in small individual pieces.  If you squish the alfoil together in a ball, approximately the size of a small human fist, the alfoil can be recycled in the yellow lidded kerbside recycling bin.

Why does it have to be in this size / shape?

So that the staff at the Material Recovery Facility are able to grab it from the fast-moving conveyor belts.

You can use the same tip to recycle all clean aluminium foil at home.

Kerbside bin pick up over Easter

There will be no kerbside bin collection on Good Friday.

For this week only, bins that are normally collected on a Friday will be picked up and emptied on Easter Saturday instead.

There is no change to the Easter Monday bin collection and bins should be placed out as usual.
