Whyalla City Council continues to connect and engage with our community!
Last month saw another pop-up Council booth at Westland Shopping Centre, giving people the opportunity to have a chat with elected members and staff in an informal setting.
Deputy Mayor Phill Stone along with Councillors Bill Simpson, Zia Westerman and staff were on hand to talk about all things Council and Whyalla-related.
It was fantastic to see so many people stopping to have a conversation, with topics ranging from seaweed, beach access, dogs & cats, bins, hoon drivers, footpaths, the beach café, signage and more.
Our next pop-up is this Thursday 24 June in the Food Court outside Woolworths.
There will be two session times:
- From 11am to 1pm to cover the lunch rush
- From 4pm to 6pm to cater for those who work
Keep an eye out for the Council booth and drop by, pull up a chair and have a chat – we look forward to seeing you there.
