The Local Government Act 1999 allows Council to establish By-laws for the good rule and government of the area, and for the convenience, comfort and safety of its community.
A By-law is legally enforceable and is required to be reviewed by Council every seven years with the next review to be undertaken in 2028. The By-laws reviewed in 2021 take effect on 27 December 2021.
