Organisation Structure

The City of Whyalla’s vision is to be a vibrant, attractive City offering the community a diverse range of sustainable economic, social, environmental and cultural opportunities.  We do this through the rollout of new projects, initiatives and infrastructure, with the wellbeing of the community at the forefront of our decision making.

Our Executive Management Team, includes our CEO and three Directors, who are responsible for leading and developing a diverse of range of teams, functions and services which enable the successful delivery of the City of Whyalla’s Strategic Plan.

The Office of the Chief Executive

The Office of the Chief Executive comprises of our CEO, Communications and Public Relations team and Elected Member support.

Corporate Services

The Corporate Services Directorate provides effective and efficient services to strengthen and grow our organisational capability, and support a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation.

The Directorate is made up of four key teams: Governance; People and Culture; Finance and Information; and Knowledge Management.

City Growth

The City Growth Directorate leads the growth of our City and delivers the services that lead, shape and enable a creative, dynamic, resilient and diverse city both now and into the future.

The Directorate is made up of four key teams: Economic Development; City Development; Community Development & Customer Experience; and Airport Management.

City Infrastructure

The City Infrastructure Directorate delivers essential local government services for our community, making it easier to conduct business in our City, and providing a safe and attractive environment.

The Directorate is made up of three key areas: Capital Works Delivery, Asset Management and Planning; and City Operations.
