Unless for reasons approved by Council, all trenches must be resealed within one week of backfilling. Backfilling must be approved by the relevant authority for whom the work is being done and must be properly compacted throughout.
Council will not accept trenches reinstated with a 'bituminous spray seal' as a satisfactory method of road restoration where the existing surface is an asphalt overlay.
