Free English Conversation Program (During the school term)
Every Wednesday and Friday from 10.00am - 12.30pm
For people learning English as a second language who want to improve their English language skills and practice English in a social and supportive environment.
We are: A social group for adults with English as a second language;

Advancing Whyalla English Classes and Community Connections, offering free classes for adults whose first language is not English, interested students can contact Cathy on 8645 5999.
Helen Michell will be attending Whyalla Public Library on the 18th June 2015 from 4-6pm.
Helen is looking forward to speaking to people about what they are writing and discuss the process of being published.

Siege of Contraries won the peoples choice award at the South Australian Writers Festival 2011. Copies of her books will be available for sale at the event.
Wendy Altschwager author of ‘Runaway’, its sequel ‘Edwina Downs’ and ‘Prior Knowledge’ visited Whyalla Public Library on 25 September 2014 to introduce her new book ‘The Pledge’.
Janice Madden returned to the library with her 8th book ‘Grandad’s Letters’ published by UNESCO apnieve for an evening event on the 5th March 2015, following her visit with 'The Red Carpet' in March 2014. Jen Reeves, a local author launched her first book of a trilogy ‘Amen’ at the Whyalla Public Library on 11 September 2014.
