


Previously known as the Environment and Planning Department, the name change to Development Services resulted as part of Council's organisational restructure during 2005/2006. The department delivers a broad range of services to the community including, development (planning and building) applications and approvals, environmental health management, dog and cat management, legislation compliance including general inspection and parking, strategic planning, development opportunities, environmental management, also includes the Whyalla Visitor Centre, Maritime Museum and media and communications.
Some Development Applications must be publicly advertised and members of the public have the opportunity to make representation to Council on the application. Please click on link above to view current applications.
