Residents asked to be patient

Wednesday, January 15, 2020

Cleanaway has advised Council it is down to two trucks (usually three) until possibly next Wednesday (January 22).

Residents may experience delays to their bins being collected with Cleanaway asking them to be patient and leave bins out until collected, including Saturday, as the company commits to working on Saturday to try and catch up.

Given that it is going to be windy over the next few days, Cleanaway has further asked residents to bring their bins in at night if they aren't collected on the scheduled day. This will help alleviate the problem of bins being blown over at night and spreading rubbish.

They should be put back out the next morning when they are likely be collected a day late.

Cleanaway hopes to have its regular contingent of three trucks back on the road by Wednesday next week.

Council also asks residents to be patient and mindful that this situation isn't the drivers' fault.

Any enquiries on bin collection and this situation should be addressed to Cleanaway on 1300 559 206
