TONS OF FUN: The giant maze that will be at the After Pageant Fair tomorrow.

Friday, November 29, 2019

Tomorrow’s GFG Alliance After Pageant Fair will have a great new feature with a giant blow-up maze.

Being brought to the fair by Richard and Gloria Storr from Jumping Castles Whyalla, along with three jumping castles, the new maze will be a fun addition to the fair in Ada Ryan Gardens. Richard says the new feature to the annual event isn’t just a maze, it is fun activity for people of all ages and abilities.

Richard fills the maze up with soft inflatable balls to chuck around and the whole set up is wheelchair and parent friendly.

“We’ve used this fun activity once before in Whyalla for people living with a disability and they had a ball,” Richard said.

“Some of the parents weren’t sure if they could go in it, but they can, and once they got in there and had a ball chucked at them, they had a great time.”

“We actually block one end of the maze off and make it like a big game of poison ball.”

Like all the activities at the After Pageant Fair, which gets underway about 6.30pm in Ada Ryan Gardens after the GFG Alliance Whyalla Christmas Pageant that starts at 5pm, the giant maze is completely free for everyone thanks to the Whyalla Apex Club organisers.

Also free will be the jumping castles, face painting, displays by the Eyre Reptile Park and the Live Youth Music entertainment from Emily Rawlings, Blake Brougham and Eloise Fisher along with a live broadcast from community radio station Triple Y.

There will be food and drink on sale along with more than 30 markets.

Whyalla Apex Club’s Craig Sinclair said that was the motivation behind the club’s organisation role in the pageant and the after pageant fair … to provide some free entertainment for children and families.

“We have to also thank our sponsors, GFG Alliance, Council and Spencer Gulf News, for making it possible to provide this entertainment for free,” Craig said.

“We’re proud as a club to support Whyalla by organising this event that provides so much entertainment and joy for everyone around Christmas time.”
