Channel Nine weather report broadcast from Whyalla this week

Whyalla will be beamed live across South Australia on prime time television this week and you're invited to be a part of it.

The Channel Nine weather crew are going to be in Whyalla on Thursday (January 10) to do a series of feature stories on our city and its regular state-wide weather report live from the foreshore. It is all part of the We Love SA Nine News Road Trip with weather presenter Chelsea Carey and the Channel 9 crew touring the Eyre Peninsula this week.

Nine has even added an extra stop in Whyalla to talk to an avid Adelaide Crows fan along with a steelworks tour, a visit to the Elvis Museum, a paddle with the dolphins and the live weather broadcast from the grassed area near the fig tree and The Beach Café from 6pm.

The Nine crew have also issued an open invitation for Whyallians to come down to the foreshore and be a part of this live weather report.

“We’d love a crowd for the weather cross at foreshore,” Chelsea said.

“Jessica Braithwaite had the best time exploring the Yorke Peninsula last year and I’m excited to be heading off on our second Nine News Road Trip.

“I love to travel, and I couldn’t think of anywhere more beautiful than the Eyre Peninsula and Spencer Gulf in summer.

“I can’t wait to meet all the locals and share with our viewers all the great things on offer along the way.”

Chelsea begins her travels in Kimba today before making her way to the picturesque town of Ceduna. She then heads to Coffin Bay to do some oyster farming before driving to Port Lincoln to swim with sea lions.

It is then a quick stop in Tumby Bay to look at the incredible street art before arriving in Whyalla. The tour ends on Friday in Port Augusta with a visit to the Wadlata Outback Centre and Arid Lands Botanic Gardens.
