Williams Street in Whyalla will be partly closed between 9.30am and 3pm on Friday

Part of William Street in Whyalla will be closed on Friday for a traders' street party and there have been some important changes to traffic restrictions.

The start time for the 25km/h speed restrictions and partial road closure for the Williams Street Party on Friday has been changed from 11am to 3pm and will now be 9:30am to 3pm to allow time for traders to set up on the road.

The Williams Street Party will go from 11am to 3pm on Friday, October 13 with the road restrictions in place.

Traffic will be blocked from the Stead Street turn off going towards Norrie Avenue during these times. Motorists will still be able to use Williams Street, one way, from Norrie Avenue going towards the Stead Street turn off with a 25km/h speed limit.

The Williams Street Party has been initiated by traders to create a focus on the shops operating on that street. The party will involve separate stalls on the street, a jumping castle for kids, fairy floss, a coffee cart and some special street party specials from the shops that will be open on the day.

The map above shows the approximate street closure.
