The City of Whyalla received funding under the National Water Security Plan for Towns and Cities as part of the Water for the Future Strategy. Funding is provided under the program, to assist Councils and local Water Authorities to minimize water loss, invest in modern, more efficient water infrastructure, refurbish older pipes and water systems and support practical projects to save water.
