Council's Senior Management Team is comprised of the CEO and the Group Managers of Council's three administrative departments.
Functions of the Corporate Services department is all the accounts including supply, payroll, debtors, creditors, insurance, leases, assessments, rates and assets.
Executive Services is the public face of Council that many ratepayers see when they visit the Civic Building.
he Infrastructure Department provides a wide range of services to the community. Services including the traditional local government areas of roads, footpaths, parks, stormdrains and rubbish collection are its core business. However, the department also operates the airport and maintains two marinas and a lighthouse. Street sweeping, the leisure centre, sports grounds, coastal issues, linemarking, street signs, landfill, recycling, street trees and playgrounds also fall under the responsibility of the Infrastructure Department. Maintenance of Council's buildings and fleet of plant and equipment are services that it provides to its internal customers (other Council departments).
The Development Services Department undertakes Council's planning, building, airport, media and communications and the Whyalla Tourism Precinct.
